Christine and her family made their home in Chatteris in early 2001 and both children currently attend Cromwell College. She works as an auditor for an international management systems organisation. She is a member of Phoenix Regeneration group, involved in CATS (Chatteris Amateur Thespian Society), and enjoys quizzes and rowing.

Christine was elected a Birch Ward Town Councillor in the July 2006 by-election. Since then she has already done much valuable work. Using her understanding of "the system" and extensive experience as a Councillor from when she lived in St Neots, she has worked effectively with officers of Fenland District Council and Cambs County Council.

Christine has sorted out many problems in Birch Ward and elsewhere in Chatteris, and is currently working on many others - litter bins in New Road, resolving "nuisance" issues around The Elms and Green Park, having various missing street signs erected - to help visitors and aid to road safety. And thanks to Christine the street lamps in the northern High Street can now have hanging baskets or Christmas decorations put up on them! Christine is working on getting road safety improvements in Doddington Road, and consulting with Police about reducing the speed limit there and in London Road, whilst on the St Francis Drive development her work means the road is finally being completed, the green space grassed, and an extra £18,000+ will soon be coming from developers to spend on play equipment on a nearby site.

These achievements in just a few short months are testament to what can be done! Christine says "I hope residents will elect me to both the Town and District Council. I will work to make sure Chatteris gets all the long awaited and much needed facilities that our Town deserves. Chatteris has been the "Cinderella Town" of Fenland for far too long!"
